They are on the rise again with a barrel of oil at over $81.00. I predict that the price of gas will be over 3 bucks a gallon by Memorial Day. I also predict nearly 4 bucks a gallon by the 4th of July. Should we blame this on Bush and Cheney? Hell no! I blame it on this administration and all the job losses. Supply and demand. No jobs, no driving to your jobs, less demand, they cut production because we are choking on reserves. Hence the price increases. Pretty simple eh?

Investors who are seeking to invest in commodities such as oil due to the weak dollar, are driving oil prices up.

Stupid investment on their part. I had stocks in oil companies. NO DIVIDENDS. Same thing as owning a stock in the Natural Gas Industry. They pay no dividends and all of these stocks are junk stocks. These markets are way to volatile. My planner dumped my oil stock as he did with my Gold Mining stock.

That and countries such as China and India plus some of the developing nations around the world, are using more and more oil. That demand has a direct effect on prices as well
